Ole Times Country Buffet & Bar-B-Que

Ole Times Country Buffet & Bar-B-Que Buffet restaurant

Overview

Ole Times Country Buffet & Bar-B-Que on 1627 Opelika Rd Suite 115, Auburn, AL 36830, United States, is the kind of place that immediately makes you feel at home. Walking in, the aroma of slow-cooked meats mingled with freshly baked bread hits you, creating that irresistible lure you can’t ignore. The moment I stepped inside for the first time, I noticed the rustic décor paired with a warm, welcoming vibe, which instantly set the tone for a relaxed dining experience.

What stands out the most at this buffet is the sheer variety on the menu. From smoky bar-b-que ribs to tender roasted chicken, every dish feels like it has been prepared with care and attention. One memorable visit had me trying their signature pulled pork, which was so flavorful that I ended up going back for seconds. The buffet also features an array of sides like creamy mashed potatoes, buttery corn on the cob, fresh green beans, and crisp salads. This mix of hearty staples and lighter options ensures there’s something for everyone, whether you’re visiting with family, friends, or even colleagues after a long day.

The buffet layout itself is efficient yet inviting. During peak hours, the staff skillfully manage the flow of diners, ensuring that no one feels rushed or cramped. Watching them in action reminded me of similar high-volume buffets across the South, but the difference here lies in the consistency of food quality and attention to detail. For instance, I observed that each tray was replenished promptly and kept warm, maintaining both taste and texture-a small detail that many diners often overlook but makes a significant difference in the overall experience.

Expertise in Southern cooking is evident in every bite. According to the National Restaurant Association, restaurants that emphasize authentic preparation and locally sourced ingredients consistently earn higher customer satisfaction ratings. Ole Times Country Buffet & Bar-B-Que mirrors this principle by incorporating fresh produce and time-honored cooking methods. Even the desserts reflect this dedication: from homemade peach cobbler to decadent chocolate cake, each option is indulgent without feeling overly heavy.

One aspect that adds to the restaurant’s credibility is its positive reviews from both locals and visitors. Online platforms frequently highlight not only the taste and portion sizes but also the attentive service. During a recent visit, a local couple shared that they’ve been dining here weekly for over five years, praising the staff’s consistency and friendly demeanor. This kind of long-term loyalty speaks volumes about the restaurant’s reputation and reliability.

For those curious about accessibility and location, the Auburn branch on 1627 Opelika Rd Suite 115 is easy to reach, with ample parking and a visible storefront that catches the eye. It’s conveniently located near major roads, making it a popular stop for families and travelers passing through the area. Even during busy weekends, the wait times are reasonable, and the atmosphere encourages casual conversation while enjoying generous servings of classic Southern fare.

From a practical perspective, the restaurant’s method of maintaining a balance between a buffet-style dining experience and high-quality food demonstrates operational expertise. Their approach emphasizes both speed and flavor, ensuring that every dish is freshly prepared, seasoned properly, and served at optimal temperatures. This thoughtful execution enhances customer satisfaction and supports repeat visits.

Overall, Ole Times Country Buffet & Bar-B-Que offers more than just a meal; it provides a dining experience grounded in tradition, flavor, and hospitality. Every visit leaves you appreciating the careful blend of comfort food, attentive service, and the welcoming environment that makes diners feel part of a larger community.

The food was delicious. Our waitress, Renda was on point with keeping our table clean and our drinks full. She is one of our favorite waitresses, she is always so kind with a great attitude and friendly service.

The fried catfish was probably the best I ever had! The chicken was delicious and the greens! They had real soul food options! The server was quick on her feet, making sure we had refills without having to ask! Everyone, even other diners, spoke, said hello! Very friendly!!!

This was our first time eating here. We enjoyed our experience. The thing they really knock it out of the park with was the vegetables!! They were great and seasoned the way your grandmother would have fixed it! The meatloaf, fried chicken, and fish were good, as well. Our server was awesome!! We never wanted for drink, while we were there.

There are so many different food selections, salads, meat and vegetables, delicious dessert bar, friendly staff, clean bathrooms, lots of tables for people. When your done eating, you can walk your meal off and shop the indoor mall. If you leave hungry, that's your fault! Lol... Recommend eating there! Dine in or Take out

The best buffet I have visited in quite a while. Very clean and I like how they have gloves as an option if you don’t want to touch the serving utensils with your bare hands. Staff was attentive and will be back anytime I’m in the Auburn area.

This place was amazing. The service was top tier. Our server Ronata helped with all of our needs. She explained the food on the buffet and what days they serve different items. We are not from this area and wanted southern home cooking and it was that and more. Definitely would recommend.
